Understanding the past helps in understanding the present and in planning for the future. Students will gain an understanding of the 1930's and its implications for the 21st Century. They will understand causes and effects of the Great Depression. They will study the experiences of fictional and real-life people going through the Great Depression. This unit covers the political, economical, and historical reasons for the Great Depression and its effect upon later American Society.
